New home builds
Ground-up construction on your lot — site work and foundation through framing, roofing and full interior finish.

Based in Bridgewater · Plymouth County, MA
Makyson Building Company isn't a crew that "also serves" Bridgewater — we're based here, at 10 Varsity Place. New builds, additions, renovations and finished basements, backed by 30+ years in the trade and a 5.0 rating from the people we've built for.
A builder who lives here
Bridgewater's housing stock runs the full range — antique colonials and farmhouses near the center, mid-century capes and ranches in the neighborhoods, and newer construction filling in around them. Each one asks something different of a builder, and after three decades working on homes like these, we've seen what holds up and what doesn't.
Every project here runs under the Massachusetts State Building Code, with permits and inspections through the town's Building Department — a process we handle start to finish, so your project doesn't stall waiting on paperwork. Planning an addition on a home with a septic system? We'll flag Title 5 considerations before they become surprises, not after.
And because New England weather is not gentle, everything we build is detailed for it: proper flashing and ice-and-water barriers, framing that shrugs off freeze-thaw cycles, and materials chosen for how they'll look in ten winters — not just on day one.

Bridgewater FAQ
Yes — permitting and inspections are part of every job we take on. We prepare the application, coordinate with the town's Building Department, and schedule inspections so the project keeps moving. You sign; we handle the rest.
That's some of our favorite work. Older colonials, capes and farmhouses need a builder who understands existing framing, settled foundations and how to tie new work into old so it reads as original. Thirty years of renovations means very few surprises we haven't seen.
It can — in Massachusetts, adding bedrooms to a home on a septic system can require a Title 5 review of the system's capacity. We flag this in the first conversation and help you plan around it, so it's a line item, not a mid-project surprise.
It depends on scope, structure and finishes — which is why we quote from a real site walk instead of a square-foot guess. Every estimate comes with a written scope of what's included and what isn't, so you can compare it honestly against any other bid.
For Bridgewater homes we can usually walk the site within days — we're based in town. Most estimates go out within a few business days of that first visit.
